Little Addington currently has a vacancy and is looking to appoint a new Parish Councillor.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and community-minded individual who is keen to represent the views of local residents, help maintain Little Addington as a great place to live, and bring fresh ideas to the Council.
As a Parish Councillor, you will play an important role in local decision-making, working collaboratively with other councillors to support and improve the village. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in your community.
- Representing the interests and concerns of local residents.
- Contributing to discussions and decisions on local issues.
- Supporting initiatives that enhance the village and community life
- Councillors are expected to attend Full Council meetings, which are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:30pm in St Mary the Virgin Church, Little Addington. There are other training events and meetings which councillors have an opportunity to attend.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be aged 18 or over.
- Be a British citizen, an eligible Commonwealth citizen, a citizen of the Republic of Ireland, a qualifying EU citizen or an EU citizen with retained rights.
- Must live within 3 miles of the parish
